Progress report on the new Chartist Ancestors

The rebuild of the Chartist Ancestors website is coming on apace. If you would like to see what’s going on, you can find the new site here.

Beware, that for the time being, things are a bit messy. The old site is in the process of demolition, so some links do not work. You can sometimes get round this by checking the URL (the website address) and replacing any capital letters with lower case equivalents.

And the new site is still under construction, so at the time of writing only about one-third of the pages are there.

I am quite pleased with how it is looking. The green colour scheme reflects the colour adopted by the Chartists themselves. Although red was added to the mix in later years as the transition began to a more socialist approach.

And I think the design is somewhat easier on the eye.

This will take quite some time to complete. For now, all I can say is that (better than) normal service will resume as soon as possible.

And here are a couple of additional links that you may find useful...
